Anya Burgess is the owner of Sola Violins in Lafayette, Louisiana. A violin maker, restorer, and player, Burgess studied violinmaking at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and apprenticed with luthier Otis Tomas in Nova Scotia. On other days, she is a playing member in the bands Magnolia Sisters and Bonsoir, Catan. Burgess also serves as a board member for the Violin Society of America.
