Iris Carr graduated from the Newark violin making school in London in 1996, and began working under Charles Bear almost immediately, experiencing the joy and privilege of being taught by some of the best craftspersons in the profession, surrounded by some of the finest instruments.
In 2004, after 8 years of working for Charles Beare’s Shop, Carr started her own business specialising in major restorations of violins, violas and cellos.
