Christopher Reuning

The owner of Reuning & Sons violins in Brookline, Massaschusetts, Christopher Reuning began apprenticing at the House of Primavera at the age of 12. After acquiring Reuning & Sons, he became one of the early founders of Tarisio auctions, and founded Carriage House violins. Reuning has served on the board of the Violin Society of America and the American Federation of Violin a Bow Makers, and is a member of Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Archetiers. He is an advisor for the Musical Instrument department of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the North Bennet Street School violin-making department. In recent years Reuning & Son Violins has emerged as the leading international dealer in violins, violas and cellos by the top-tier classical Italian makers.
